Biography

Alexandra McTavish is a multi-disciplinary actor, artist and voiceover professional.
Born in Hong Kong to Australian parents, Alexandra’s artworks examine notions of gender, sexuality, nature, and solitude. She works instinctively on paper and canvas with oils, acrylics, ink and watercolours. You can view her artworks here.
Her credits as an actor span theatre, television and film. Her credits include the upcoming Apples Never Fall (Annette Benning, Sam Neil), In Limbo for the ABC and House Husbands. You can view her TV and film credits on IMDb. Alex has a burgeoning podcast for kids – Tall Tales & Other Stories on Apple, Spotify and all good listening apps.
In her spare time, Alex founded NØDA Naturals, a natural deodorant company dedicated to a plastic-free world.
Alex lives and works on the unceded lands of the Quandamooka people of Moreton Bay in Mianjin (Brisbane), Australia.

Rosie & Olive are being hand raised so they get used to humans but also we need to keep them safe from a riot of kookaburras (yes! Isn’t that the perfect collective noun!) that laugh the day away every afternoon. Theyd be “sitting duck”-lings for a delicious feed in minutes so they stay close until fully grown. After that they have their duck pen and visitation rights to the raised beds to feed on all the delicious grubs they want. Carnivorous beasts!

Our Jack is sixteen today! Tomorrow he gets his learners permit and on Friday is he is jumping out of a plane in his first skydive. He is full of surprises. As he hits the road (and the skies), I am so delighted I get to be his ride along for all the adventures. ❤️ happy birthday darling.

A quick little project today made with found objec

A quick little project today made with found objects and plants in the garden- it cost about $200 AUD for the pump and the waterlilies, everything else was already in the garden but not being used. Irises, some water grass, gingers, aloes and old bark and moss. I’m hoping to attract some beautiful green tree frogs, birds and I will of course, get some native fish.
